It
has been more than 150 years since Mormon
pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley
and proclaimed it their spiritual home.
With the coming of the XIX Olympic Winter
Games in 2002, Salt Lake City has again
become, as author Dick Nourse writes,
"a promised land of sorts that, through
the years, has enabled successive generations
to rediscover its beauty, its spacious
grandeur, and its living spirit."
